Kaarle Holmberg is a versatile designer who has achieved numerous prizes for his work. He gets his inspiration from architecture, art and nature. He believes that a well-designed product has intellectual, artistic contents created by educated industrial designers. Along with his design career, he has given his contribution to the development of the Finnish design education by lecturing on interior architecture and furniture design at the Lahti Design Institute and University of Industrial Arts. He wants to convey his experience in furniture design to his young students and emphasizes the significance of the quality of design and manufacturing in the international competition. He has offered Piiroinen not only his designer skills but also his valuable contribution to the benefit of the Piiroinen furniture unit and development of business activities.
