"Sari Anttonen, born 1966 - Interior Architect

In her design the sense of material is strongly present.
Sari Anttonen teaches furniture design at the University of Art and Design and runs her own design studio. Her work is guided by intuition that results in rationally manufactured objects.
Thanks to her background as a cabinet-maker, she does not avoid new materials, but experiences them as a source of inspiration and challenge. She has complemented the Piiroinen furniture collection by bringing plastic as one of the company's material options.
Sari Anttonen, rewarded for her furniture design, has extended her co-operation with Piiroinen in a product development project, in which she has studied an innovative use of recycled plastic in furniture. Her insight of material, structure and design has produced a new series of inspiring and original furniture.
